Anantapur Kanaipur Rahelia High School, a state government sponsored school is one of the oldest school in the area. The school is situated in a rural area named Anantapur-Kanaipur under Rampurhat-II block of Birbhum district. The institution began its journey on 01.01.1944.The greatest personality in the locality Late Alhaz Md Younas founded this school.A woman named Rahela was the land donor and the institution got its name as Anantapur Kanaipur Rahelia High School ( in short A.K.R High School).

The school is housed in a three storied pucca building with almost 21 rooms and spacious lawn on all sides.The school environment is pleasent and condutive to learning.

This school is a bengali medium school and provides education to students from class V to X.The school has approximate 850 as student strenght.
