        A renowned Govt. Sponsored High School, BANKATA SRI DURGA HIGH SCHOOL is situated at Bankata in Indpur Block under Bankura district in a calm and

environmental friendly atmosphere beside SH   about 26 km away from Bankura town. The school covers about 3 acres of land. The school is housed in one two

storied and three one storied buildings containing 15 rooms. among those nine are used as classrooms and others are used as other school related purposes eg. hm room

,office, staffroom,Library, Com. Lab etc.There are about 540 very obedient  students in 2020 Academic Session and 15 very efficient and dutiful teachers.There is abig

playground for games and sports. We hold cultural programmes for exihibiting talents in extra-curricular works,Annual sports and other observation days are alo celebrated

graciously. But to continue our pride and heritage we have to renovate our classrooms with modern elotrinic equipments,the old school building is to be repaired,toilets and

urinals in sufficient numbers are to be built .More over the school is to be upgraded to an HS School as it is the demand of present situation.
