CODE OF CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE

  • Our students should be polite and disciplined wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet all the teachers whenever and wherever they meet them. Bullying, use of foul language and vulgar behavior will lead to strict action.
  • They should take good care of their health and keep themselves robust and strong.
  • They should always be friendly with others in or out of school.
  • They should never be cruel and should know that cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.
  • They should always accept and complete whatever work is assigned to them.
  • They should face difficulties courageously.
  • They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters; in school to teachers, companions and any unattended visitor whom they happen to meet on the school premises.
  • They should never cheat or be unfair.
  • They should stand up when any teacher or visitor enters the classroom.
  • They should be truthful.
  • They should respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage caused, to the teachers.
  • They should never hesitate to say 'NO' when asked or tempted to do a thing, which they know to be wrong.
  • They should respect the liberty and rights of others. Instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evils of the world they should try to contribute their share in making the world a better place to live in.
  • They should look upon people from all parts of the world and all walks of life as their brethren irrespective of their caste, color and creed.
  • They should not waste their time in idle gossip.
  • They should take pride in wearing their school uniform.
  • No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the school building. Running in corridors is strictly prohibited.
  • It is strictly forbidden to throw any object at anyone.
  • They should always accept and complete whatever work is assigned to them.
  • Pupils are strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones, beverages of any kind into school.
  • Every student should carry his / her Identity Card* to school every day.
  • Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
  • Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed.
  • The School uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions.
  • Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  • Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to school.
  • No book, (other than text books or library books) magazine or paper may be brought to school without the Class teacher's permission.
  • Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not permitted.
  • Students who come to school accompanied by domestic help should never leave school before the person arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
  • Prior permission is needed from the school authorities, if the student has to return home unaccompanied by an adult.
  • They should not loiter around on the way but return home promptly.
  • Students are warned not to buy or receive anything from anyone.
  • Bursting crackers or splashing colors during Diwali / Holi or any other occasion in the school premises or school buses is strictly forbidden.
  • Students should attend festivals and functions celebrated in the school.
  • Note: Non-compliance of these instructions can result formative assessment percentage lower.

SOME IMPORTANT ACADEMIC RULES & INFORMATION

  • Attention is drawn to the rules of discipline of the school which must be observed by all students.
  • Students are expected to observe respectful silence in the library as well as when walking down the corridors (Especially when classes are going on)
  • Students are requested to co-operate with the school authorities in keeping the school and its compound clean and in seeing that light and fans are switched off when not needed.
  • Spitting inside the classrooms and writing in the walls or furniture are subjected to heavy penalty.
  • Students must be in their classes immediately after the bell rings at the beginning of each class. They must not leave or enter the class without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  • Students must not enter the office, HOI room or Teacher’s room without any specific business & before entering they must seek due permission.
  • The behavior of the students towards the teachers and the non-teaching staff of the School must be polite and respectful.
  • Regular attendance is compulsory for students in all disciplines- the student’s enrolment may otherwise stand cancelled. Guardians are required to furnish adequate reasons and advance information, whenever possible, for long absence of their wards.
  • Discussion on student’s progress, Teacher’s related matters would be arranged with the HOI or teachers only with prior appointment.
  • Parents or guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities by urging their wards to be regular in attendance, taking care that their wards appear at all the school examinations or unit tests of the schools due in time.
  • Violation of rules particularly those mentioned here will make a student’s liable to disciplinary action which in the case of serious or repeated offences may include expulsion from the school.
  • Suggestions from students and guardians are always welcome.
