Admission to the order of Government of W.B, School Education Department, 

1. The age appropriate classes would be as follows:-

a. For class - 1 : the age of 6 years and above but less than 7 years of age.

b. Fir class - 2 : the age of 7 years and above but less than 8 years.

c. For Class- 3 : the age of 8 years and above but less than 9 years.

d. For Class - 4: the age of 9 years and above but less than 10 years.

Children seeking admission for Pre Primary class shall be 5 years of age or above and below 6 years as on first day of January of the current academic year.

In all cases the age must be calculated from the first day of January of that academic year
