Since its inception in 1953 sahapur mathuranath vidyapith  has produced a galaxy of stars. Late Madan Mohan Ghosh was the first Headmaster of this prestigious institution. Next, Dr. Ashoke Biswas became the Headmaster of the school. Dr. Biswas took a number of great initiatives for the growth and development of the school. Then Dr Biswanath Biswas served as Headmaster of the school for a few years. Now, Sri Tapas Chattopadhyay is the Headmaster of the school. He has been serving since 2016 with great devotion, dedication and commitment. In 2003 the school celebrated its Golden Jubilee . At that time Biren Je Shah, the Honourable Governor , Buddhadev Bhattacharya, the Honourable Chief Minister, Kanti Biswas , the Education Minister and Dibyendu Hota, the President of WBBSE sent their valuable messages congratulating the teachers and the students of the school on the Golden Jubilee Celebration. Our institution has created many scholars in different fields - Medical , Engineering, Education, Administration etc. The Ex-ViCe Chancellor of Jadavpur University , Dr. Pradip Narayan Ghosh was the student of the school. It is noteworthy that many great man in the field of literature like Baren Gangopadhyay , Shyamal Gangopadhyay, Abhra Roy , Balaram Basak were the  great teachers of this institution. It has been a great journey so far and we all hope for a very bright future of the institution.
