From the Head Of Institution Desk

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

with a burden on the people of Kurseong, the Missionaries from the Church of Scotland started a tutirial for the under priviledged girls in the town during the year 1905. As a baby grows gradually , so did the tutorial gradually evolved to the present day Scot's Mission Girls' H.S. School.

It has a been a meticulous growth throughtout with the efforts of Late Samuel rai,Late Shanti Dan Gurung and former headmistress Mrs. Purnima Thapa. Since its inception there is no looking back. The school authority has received the Minority Certificate under the NCMEI (National Commission of Minority Education Institutes), New Delhi. At present the school operates under the guidelines of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education by special rules with  members and under the umbrella of Diocese of Eastern Himalaya ,Church of North India, Darjeeling.

Mrs. Purnima Thapa ,the former headmistress is now working as the Secretary of the School Managing Commmittee. She has always been a strong support to school till date.My team of dedicated Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff is working hard to achieve the vision and meet the goals set by the pioneer of the school.

Over the past few years of my tenure as a Headmistress, the school building has been renovated and extented by the grace of God . We are putting are full effort to make this institution a better and comfortable place for learning and the entire Scot's Mission family is aspiring to make schoolong a possibility for all the under priviledged girl child. We are trying our best to reach out to the unreached.

I wish God's blessings on the school as it keeps growing in service of girl children in India.
