It has been an immense honor to be the Headmistress of this prestigious institution that completed its 75th year on 20th December 2023. The institution has witnessed several ups and downs in the past years and has emerged as one of the oldest and reputed schools in the locality. It is the second Government school under Barasat Sub-division. The school has a new three-storied building along with the old building and a sprawling campus which includes a huge auditorium with a seating capacity of 200, a large playground for the students, 6 well-equipped laboratories , a library, an art room, a music room, a meeting hall and all other necessary amenities. The school is under 24x7 CCTV surveillance . The school not caters to the educational need of the students but also boosts their cultural skills as well. Our teachers not only impart knowledge but also help the students in their moral, cultural and creative development thereby ensuring their holistic and all round improvement. I feel very fortunate to have got the opportunity of carrying forward the legacy of this glorified institution that has been handed over to me by my successful predecessors.
