Now Meherpur Junior High School started struggling for academic excellence. All the staff started discharging their duties with collective spirit towards academic-mental-intellectual-spiritual well-being of the learners. After 27 years of continuous struggle the School leapt one step forward. Finally,in May,2009, Meherpur Junior High School got Recognition of the W.B.B.S.E. and the School is Up-Graded to a 10-Class High School. In this regard, the School is extremely grateful to Respected Mr. Chinmay Sarkar, Former D.I.S(S.E.).,Malda for his active consideration and role.

Years went by. The entire School-Community concentrated themselves on their continuous struggle of respectful survival. And at last the School got Recognition from the D.P.I. & the W.B.B.S.E. as a 2-Class & 4-Class Non-Govt. Aided Educational Institution, as a Junior High School in January,1982. Two of the-then honourable Govt. Officers of the D.P.I. , such as, Respected Mr. Abdul Alim, SIS,Adina Circle & Respected Mr. H.M.Debnath, D.I.S(S.E.), Malda , contributed a lot in this regard.Meherpur High School is always grateful for their valuable contribution. Thus, Meherpur High School started walking steadily forward facing several ups and downs. Phani Bhusan Sarkar remained in Office as the H.M. and Paresh Chandra Biswas, Satya Ranjan Biswas, Abdul Quader, Amanat Ali were approved as A/Ts. Besides, Kamal Chandra Biswas , Mainuddin Hassan, Palanu Sk were appointed as A/T, Clerk and Gr- "D" Peon.

Since this was Organised Period, the School was in no receipts of any Govt. Grants. A huge pond was there in Meherpur. Fishiculture was done here. All the staff of Meherpur Jr. High School were paid their remuneration from income of the pond.Sometimes, the Staff served voluntarily in the interests of students. Besides, resources were mobilised locally to build infrastructure of the School. The School Building was kutcha in the begining. Local people from every quarter helped abundantly to develop School infrastructure, to give impetus to such a noble initiative. However, some teachers, namely, Anawar Ali, Kobad Ali, Abdul Matin, Abdus Sattar and Fatik Chandra Biswas,Clerk, left School in  due course of time perhaps for better future. Despite juncture the normal educational activities of the School were carried on smoothly in the greater interests of learners.

The School stepped forward to its insecure journey however with enthousiasm and firm assertion bearing in mind the famous quote," Miles to go...". The M.C. appointed a number of Assistant Teachers & Clerk and Headmaster to run the teaching-learning programme of the School. Paresh Chandra Biswas,Satya Ranjan Biswas, Ajit Sarkar, Anawar Ali, Kobad Ali, Abdul Matin, Abdus Sattar, Abdul Quader, Amanat Ali were appointed as Assistant Teachers, Fatik Chandra Biswas as Clerk and Phani Bhusan Sarkar as Headmaster were appointed during this organised period.

Mr. Nasiruddin Mondal, Mr. Imarat Hossain, Mr. Abbas Ali, Mr. Serajuddin Ahmed, Mr. Mujuruddin Ahmed, Mr. Ambika Charan Biswas, Mr. Bhim Hembram were those honourable Persons interested in Education contributed a great deal selflessly to organise Meherpur Junior High School in 1975. These men are regarded as " Founder Members" of the School.Among these persons Mr. Nasiruddin Mondal and Mr. Imarat Hossain were " Land - Donors" for the School. Mr. Nasiruddin Mondal and Mr. Mujuruddin Ahmed were the first honoured Founder Secretary and Founder President of the Managing Committee of Meherpur Junior High School respectively. Indeed, this was the proud begining of this Educational Institution provisionally socially organised.

Under such miserable circumstances, a few people of Meherpur and adjacent Durgapur village joined hands to develop an institutional set-up aiming to pave the path to get free education at least upto elementary level for generations of this remote area. Thus, as an outcome of these men's relentless efforts a new - borne baby , a new socially organised set-up, namely, Meherpur Junior High School came out in January,1975.

In the mid-70s of last Century Meherpur was a village located in an extremely reemote area in Old Malda. No roadways,no public transportation & communication system as a whole was indeed the-then real socio-economic scenario of this area. However, inhabitants of this area travels on bullock-drawn cart or on foot and got themselves connected with Malda town to earn and manage their livelihood. Almost all inhabitants in this area were illiterate and were mostly deprived of modern common Schooling and Education except a few financially solvent families.
