The school was established in the year 1965. It was recognized as X class High school with effect from M.01.1973 Vide order number 967/G, dated 11/04/1974 of WBBSC.

The school comes under a salary deficit scheme with effect from 01.04.1979 vide G.O. No. 2488 (17) G, dated 16.08.1979 of D.I. (S.E.), Birbhum in terms of G.O. No. 343 Edn(s), dated 31.03.1973 & No. 885 Edn(s), dated 31.03.1979.

The school was upgraded as XII class Higher Secondary w.e.f. 1999-2000 academic session in terms of G.O. No. 110-SE (HS), dated 28.05.1966.
