In the last half of 60s , the people of the villages of Beler Dhanyakuria, Sangberia, Srinagar, Joypur Kalibari those who were mainly farmers showed the urge to enlighten their children through education. The entire community of the area felt the need of an Educational Institution for their childrens’ educational development and upliftment. That need and requirement gave birth to this Institution. Even that would not be possible, if those true-hearted and broad-minded farmers like Late Ahad Ali Mondal,Late Nemai Ch Mondal,Late Kalu Mondal & Late Balai Ch Golder would not come ahead and donate their land to set up a Co-Ed School. It was the 1st January of 1965, when our Institution started its great journey and by the years became one of the leading Bengali medium Institutions at Basirhat Sub-Division in the state of West Bengal.
At the beginning,WBBSE recognised & affiliated the Institution as a 4 Class Jr. High School (Memo No. 19106/G, Dt. 14/09/1965) but in the very next year the Institution was upgraded into a XI Class High School (Memo No.10560, Dt. 7/07/1966) with Arts & Commerce Stream.In 2000, the Institution was further upgraded into a Higher Secondary School (Memo No. D.S/A/S.D/1383/Recog./2000, Dt.10/07/2000) with Arts stream.Later on, the Institution has been continuing its long journey step by step with success and repute.It is to note that as per Memo No:945-N24P-371/1/(18)/SE/S/10M-117/14 DT.30.03.2015,the Institution has been converted as West Bengal Govt.Sponsored Institution.
The Institution has been graced with many honours through the years – The “Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar” in 2013, The “Best School Award” in North 24 Parganas and The “Sishu Mitra Puraskar” in 2015. Qualified for Jamini Roy Award for the 2016 & 2017 and nominated for National Award (Security Category) in 2018.Being an unseparated part of the Institution, the teachers, the non-teaching staffs, the members of the Managing Committee and of course the students never fail in their endeavour to uphold the prestige of the Institution.
The atmosphere in which our Institution is situated is very pleasant. It has four rows of buildings. Besides classrooms, there are Teachers’ Common-room, Office-room, Science Laboratory, Library, Gym, Digital Class-Rooms, Computer-room, a permanent decorated stage and a large Hall-room.Bio Metric Attendance system for both Staff & Students,Online Admission system,Online Tabulation system, Online Result Publication,SMS based notification,QR Code incorporated Progress Report & Student Identity Card etc.The whole campus is protected with CCTV surveillance.Remote surveillance has tightened the security system of the whole campus.Of late online fees collection through 'SBI Collect' feature has been introduced.Netaji’s Birthday, the Republic Day, the Saraswati Puja, Rabindra Jayanti, Nazrul Jayanti, the Teacher’s Day, the Children’s Day are observed with high respect and regard. Various competitions on drawing, writing, recitation, debate etc. and games and sports are held in every year with much enthusiasm. The school wall magazine ‘Dipshikha’ is published yearly.
Presently, the Institution provides fairly a large number of students (approx. 900) with the chance to study about every subject precisely with affection by the highly experienced teachers. In Arts stream, approx. 450 students are taught about seven subjects. All the students from V to X avail the chance to study computer.
The students of this Institution show brilliant performance not only in Board and Council examinations but also in various competitive exams. Many students from this Institution have occupied glorious position with high acclaim in various fields. Even the students with special needs (CWSN) from this Institution have shown their guts in games and sports in State and National level.
It will not be an exaggeration to say that the Institution is now able to come forward a long way to fulfill the need and requirement of knowledge and education of the children of the locality but there is yet another long way to go to attain goal.
