History of the School:
Jadurberia Balika Vidyalaya was established to fulfill the requirement of a girls’ school in the village Jadurberia, Bahirtafa and Majerhati in 1972. Some eminent personalities who were interested in education of the locality took initiative to establish a girls’ school specially for the financially backward classes of the local area. Initially due to lack of school building the class was started at Jadurberia Basic school, situated beside the proposed land of this school.
One eminent and generous personality Prasad Chandra Paul donated 11 (eleven) decimal land to construct the school building. Jadurberia Balika Vidyalaya started the class at the building of Jadurberia Basic School under the supervision of the then Headmaster of Basic School Lt. Binod Bihari Bhattacharya and the Advisory Committee of school on and from 2nd January 1972. The school time was in the morning in winter and noon in summer when the classes of basic school was suspended due to adverse climatic condition. At first the class was started with 34 (thirty four) students in class V and 20 (twenty) students in class VI, i.e. total number of students was 54 (fifty four).
