Pandit  Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar left us with the ideal that mass education, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex and so was it and still it is the necessity  of the hour to bring about a real transformation in the society . And henceforth to ensure it , spread of education among women was very important.

Standing on today’s era also women education still remain something which is to be emphasized on in order to develop the  overall condition of the country .Therefore, I being the Head of the Institution of a girls’ school is privileged enough to get the chance to empower the girls and so the deprived section of the society. Jadurberia Balika Vidyalaya (H.S) has been playing a very important role in the overall development of the girls belonging to the most backward class of the local rural area since 1972. Presently the school has become remarkable land mark in the map of the education world of the Uluberia sub-division.

The main motto of Jadaurbria Balika Vidyalaya is to promote quality education to the young girls and provide them with a joyful experiential learning system wherein each child is encouraged to participate whole heartedly. At this school we live no stone unturned to offer multitudes of opportunities to our children; it is for them to make the most use of it. Children should be motivated to grab every opportunity that comes in their way which will not only help in their holistic growth but also strengthen their believes in team work.

They need to understand the importance of emotional balance, critical thinking and most importantly accepting failures graciously. It is our strife to endow them with these qualities and more. According to Swami Vivekananda “ Complete continence gives great intellectual and spiritual power”. Therefore complete physical, mental and spiritual development of the students is our mission.

Apart from all these we also aim at making our girls good and proficient in co-curricular activities such as dance, drama, painting, song, recitation and most importantly games. Looking into the over all development of the child and thus bringing out young hidden talent is not out of our mottos.

But the school is suffering due to lack of a play ground, by-cycle stand, librarian and inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff. At the same time we are thankful to Sarva Shiksha Mission for extending their kind hands for the infrastructural development of school.

As a whole, we Endeavour and believe in empowering our learners in such a manner that they act as representatives of a meaningful and value based society. Our pedagogy which is holistic and comprehensive, complements this. Hope we will reach our destination gradually step by step with active help, co-operation positive attitude and good suggestions of our teachers , guardians and all other well-wishers.
