Welcome to Sakhawat Memorial Govt. Girls’ High School, Kolkata, one of the most reputed schools of Bengal with the mission to make Roquiah, the visionary and educationist’s dream a reality. We are a school with strong belief in communal harmony and the great Indian tradition of unity in diversity. Following our foundress we strive constantly to educate girl children and pave the way for woman emancipation. The school is unique in upholding the principle of communal harmony with two mediums of instruction (Bengali and Urdu) running parallel from Pre-Primary toSecondary level. The school also has two mediums of instruction in the Higher Secondary level. Science subjects are taught in both Bengali and English medium in the H.S level. We are proud of academic as well as co-curricular achievements of our students. Our students regularly participate and prove their excellence in co-curricular activities such as songs and dance, recitation, painting, yoga and table tennis. To motivate students to take part in community welfare the school runs an eco club, a consumer club. Theestablishment of a career hub and yearly organized career fair added another feather in the school’s cap. All of this has been possible under the guidance & care of highly efficient staff of the school. Since school is a part of society we always work in tandem with our guardians, local residents & other members of the community.
