
Michaelnagar Shikshaniketan a Co-education Institution was established in 1966 by the members of Michael Samabaya Upanibesh Samity to impart knowledge through School Education to the children of the locality. Blessings from Mother Teresa was a boost to their endeavour. Later on, the school gained the affiliation from W.B.B.S.E. as a Class VIII middle School in 1982. Inspite of a few enrollment, the enthusiasm of the local people to accomplish their mission and the voluntary teaching support by Sri Nityananda Das, Sri Tapas Chanda , Sri Amal Kumar Bose, helped the School to gain the affiliation from W.B.B.S.E. in memory of late Nalini Ranjan Deb, his wife donated a piece of land and the rest portion by MSUS where the school exists as a Higher Secondary School. The authorities owe their thanks to late late Ajit Kumar Panja, the then Minister Govt. of India, Sarva Siksha Mission. Smt. Kakali Ghosh Dastidar, MP of Barasat Constituency and Sri Rathin Ghosh, Member of Legislative Assembly and Chairman, Madhyamgram Municipality for their kind co-operation in maintaining the School building and the surrounding environment. They also arranged financial grant to modernize class rooms and computer room.
The student teacher relationship paved the path for the students to be all rounder as their participation in sports, cultural activities, quiz competitions remain uninhibited and improved their aesthetic value. In our Golden Jubilee Year, keeping with the present trend, our school is converted to an English Medium School by the Govt. of West Bengal from 2017 session and has upgraded to higher secondary level with Science and Arts stream from the session 2019. The whole hearted support of Sri Rathin Ghosh M.L.A. and Chairman of Madhyamgram Municipality helped us in making our dreams come true. The school provides facilities including well equipped laboratories, library, e-learning rooms, well maintained class rooms, separate toilets for boys and girls, a large pla
