Our Campus

    Any place can be good to read and learn for those who love to read and study. For them, knowledge is immaterial, the space does not matter, and physical context is secondary. However, if we look at this in the reality of educational systems, the conditions of the schools directly impacts the performance of the students.

    New Mathabhanga High School is at Matiarkuthi village in Mathabhanga Block-II of the district Cooch Behar covering the area of about 2 acres. It is located in a beautiful place with green trees. The place is out of the town, without any noise or pollution where the child can easily absorb what is being taught in school. The school campus is full of grassy compound, flowers, and clean environment. The ambience is calm, spacious with good amenities and utilities in a visually appealing landscape. The school has enough lighting, useful facilities such as libraries, toilets, playground, sinks, multipurpose rooms, work areas, lockers, storage spaces, teachers, administration, etc.

    The school is a two storied building along with 20 class rooms, HM’s room, AHM’s room, Teacher’s room, Office, Geography Lab, Computer room, Store room and Programme hall. All the classrooms here are large and well-maintained. They are always clean. Huge windows in the class allow sufficient sunlight into the rooms. We have various spaces for conferences and meetings, special events and Yoga competitions. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. We thus ensure that each and every student gets regular break from their routine life and get involved in extra-curricular activity of some sort. The huge playground in the campus our daily assembly and all the other activities take place and makes way for cricket, football or volleyball matches which the students enjoy.

    School teachers come in all shades of character. There are those teachers who have great love for the subject they teach and impart that love to students too. Even a student who hates that particular subject will start liking it, if he/she sits in their classes. Next, we have jovial teachers who are cheerful in nature and radiate joy to all around them. They are friendly and compassionate and are the go-to people for all students when any trouble comes up. Then, there are the strict teachers who make sure the discipline and decorum is maintained throughout school. Together, our teachers form the heart and soul of the school. Students are requested to attend the school on daily basis wearing the proper uniform. They enjoy our rallies, games, competitions, dances, and drama during the annual events. They love to participate in all those activities.

    In school we celebrate all important days and events of the year such as National Youth Day, Netaji Birthday, Republic Day, Saraswati Puja, Sports Day, Rabindra Jayanti, Teacher’s Day, Parents’ Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day, Christmas Day, Bidyasagar Jayanti, International Mother Language Day, Mother’s Day, Happy New Year, Mahatma Gandhi Birthday and so on in a fabulous way.

    It is huge disciplined and famous school in the locality. We are proud of our school.
