Alumni
A humble desire to give back to the alma mater and the society at large while having the inner pleasure to reach out to the distressed and being tied together by a value system that transforms the past students of Garden Reach Nut Behari Das Higher Secondary school (Boys), Kolkata into individual for others gave birth to Praktani, the Alumni Association in the year 2018. The association functioned very actively since its inception and since then it has not looked back.
Apart from participating in the regular calendar events like Teachers Day Meet, Independence Day, Republic Day, Netajis Birthday, School Foundation Day and Annual Meet, only to name a few, the association also organizes panel discussions with eminent personalities, career counselling for the outgoing HS Students, Running Library for the current students, Blood Donation Camp, Rakhi Bandhan Utsav, football match between ex students of the institution and present teachers, etc.
The vision of its current President, Dr Pradip Kumar Chakraborty (Headmaster of the School) is to give all the members a chance to strengthen old ties and forge new friendship.
