From the Head Of Institution Desk

The primary interest is to cater to the all-round development of the students connecting them with the nature, technology, teaching them unique techniques and giving them the scope to learn from challenges of the modern world. Adopting the modern technology, however, does not mean to do away with the ancient and time-tested value-systems of our country. So, a learner from Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya imbibes in him or her tradition and modernism.

HOI DESK

The Diary of Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya has a very famous quote – “ Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man” – said by Swami Vivekananda, one of the most prolific thinkers, that India has ever produced.

I think, this quote, sums up in a nut shell, everything that Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya, stands for.We Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya strive to promote holistic education which is rooted in Indian tradition, culture and values, but is aided by modern-day technology. We firmly believe that our real nature is divine and the aim of education should be to realise this divinity. We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, intellect is expanded and by which one stands, on one’s own feet. Every individual has knowledge, it simply needs an awakening.Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya offers the best education, which initiates character formation and builds self-confidence and reliance. Adhering to the Tagline ‘Connecting Knowledge to Life’ we aim to build individuals who while being self-reliant, also through their positive contribution to society, promote universal brotherhood and empathy.

We offer all kinds of physical and mental activities, in addition to academics, by the best qualified Teachers. Appreciation for the Arts and theatre (we have a state – of – the Art theatre room), is encouraged side by side with technical studies as well. At the same time we encourage development of the social work and respect to the elders.

With these tenets in mind, we hope to lead Dhulagori Adarsha Vidyalaya from strength to strength, so that it becomes a major force to reckon with and a leading social Institution, in the coming years.

LOCATION

It was 1964 when DhulagoriAdarshaVidyalaya was established at the centre of Dhulagori village, Howrah,West Bengal, by some eminent and generous people who were concerned for the future of the local children. DhulagoriAdarshaVidyalaya is a co-ed higher Secondary school where we strive for the all-round development of our students. Teachers always try to facilitate learning and students are eager to learn. surrounding environment of Dhulagori AdarshaVidyalaya is pleasant. Actually it is cradled by lush green vegetation all around. The environment is ideal for education. But we are lagging behind because of the indifference of the local people and guardians.

The socio – economic condition of our students is poor. Many students come to school without taking meals and as a result feel nervous or fall ill during school hours. The plight of many students is heart rending. Local people must come forward and help us to build a better future for their children.
