‘Akna Union High School’ is a coruscating example of how close a second home for the student who can get to the heart. It was established in 1860 in British period with a small student capability in a village periphery. From that day the new journey begin in a new light towards a new horizon. Gradually for one and a half hundred years that's small school like seedling become a large tree with many students today.
With each passing day a new observation is being brought forward to its educational system between teacher and students chemistry. The institution found itself growing beautiful as well as its beautiful pollution free rural environment reflected in the young learner's mind. They have worked harder, they have let their creativity to go ahead. All we teachers needed to do are to gently nurture their thoughts so that they can found expression in this crucial world. Our institution and its child centric education is nothing but giving a chance to the young dreamers for continuing them 12 years ( class V to XII) to build their career a better world tomorrow, away from the negativities, away from hatred, into a world of creation.
We have also encourage Youngers in various co-curricular activities like games and sports, NCC, vocational course, nature studies with their education in beautiful surroundings. The light, the thoughts the pedagogy that we are all drooling upon today calling it the “new way” or “the education of the new era”.
The method of study in our institution guarantees in the young's a perfect equilibrium between restrictions and strengthen them making free and capable of expressing their personality in the best way.
This Bengali medium co-ed institution provides young learners adequate care protection disciplined guidance and proper help to express themselves as well as to meet challenges of life with determination. We thank God for all the good we have been able to accomplish in the past years.
